Zabljak, January 08
Hey brothers!
Is it still possible to book some hotel or apartments in Zabljak for early January? We would like to visit your beautiful mountains for skiing. Hotel is preferred, since there are only two of us (me and my wife). I am not sure about dates, just started to look for tickets today.
Please, advise. We have never been there, and there is not very much information available in Russian or English.
Thank you in advance.
P.S. Do you have snow already?

Gentlemen!
Can anybody help or advise with accommodations? Hotel or apartments, from 1st to 8th? Just my wife and me. One good Russian guy (thank you Kirill :) has already proposed an option but it is not very convenient neither for him nor for me.
Thank you in advance and hope to see you on Savin Kuk :)

List of hotels in Žabljak
I can recommend you MB hotel...
-
Thanks, Wlad!
Actually, it happened that MB hotel is going to welcome us. Moscow tour agent (that I asked for a help) made a call to hotel director and they have one room available.
One strange thought came to my mind while surfing the internet... Is Kolasin better than Zabljak? I am sure it is not, they are just different. But nevertheless? In terms of skiing?
Thanks.

Nice that you found room @MB :), it's warm, clean and GREAT food :).
It's hard to compare Žabljak / Kolašin, this time-next year you go to Kolašin (Bjelasica) and tell us :dziveli:

Why it is hard to compare? Everything can be compared :)
Any comments on this article?

I have found it in Kolasin forum.

Žabljak (Durmitor) is famous mountain in Montenegro, long history of skiing etc.
Kolašin (Bjelasica) ski center is now owned by big private investor with big plans. Next year there will be bigger difference between Žabljak / Kolašin.
Žabljak is (for now) better for freeride, Kolašin ski center is well organized...

Got it, thanks. Freeride is the reason I turned my attention to Zabjak. Hopefully, the region will find its investor either.

Usually I can understand Serbian, but this one I can not get. Could you translate, please: "Najduži i najteži je uspon na Bobotov kuk (2.525 m/nv) i traje 5 sati i 30 minuta." Thanks.

The longest and hardest alpine tour is climbing on Bobot peak (2.525 m/os) it takes 5 hours and 30 minutes
