You are the man! You know how is here in Serbia! :cug::dziveli: :sm021:
And in the morning you feel like :smoke: not :couto: that is the biggest quality of good rakija!
12cm's fell and more could come down tonight:yay:
It looks like it is still snowing!!! :sm021: :sm019:
Wow. That was a nice surprise!!
After a 12 hour shift at work i came home, logged onto to the net, (Stevs site being the first site to visit of course!) expected to see the snow had melted down to 15cm........ 32!!!!!! :yay:
30cm's of snow forecast for the week beginning the 21st!!!
lets hope the snow levels remain above 20cm's... it would be amazing if we got 50cm's of snow to play in.
Really happy to see so much fell!!!
20cm of snow forecasr for friday the 26th :couto:
Unfortunatly theres only about 8cm forecast for the days prior to that.... whats certain is there is plenty of percipitation forecast for the week commencing the 21st.... Lets just hope they have their dates wrong and we get the big dump at the beginning ;)

-JC-, Don't worry about the snow so much! You posted on 13th, "30cm's of snow forecast for the week beginning the 21st!!!", but by today its "Unfortunatly theres only about 8cm forecast for the days prior to 26th"
All this worry wont make it snow more, just makes you stress!
Relax, have a few :dziveli: , then have some more :cug: - nothing you can do if it doesn't snow anyway!
after 20th january, a lot of snow!!!

Everywhere is bad - this is Andorra, last week!

It looks promising for our friends that are going on the 21st! I think that they will not have problem skiing when it's snowing. :ski:
Its not looking good for those going on the 21st:

The snow could come as we're leaving...
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...astle/snow.jpg
As you can see from the above image we could see as little as 5cm's until the end of our holiday... The weather maps keep shifting the dump further and further back... This is turning into a very depressing week.
weather reports aren't accurate... but we're moving closer and closer to the reliable time frame :(
JC don't get disappointed yet because as one of our sports reporter says:
Statistics is like a bikini it shows everything but reveals nothing! :sm022:
Everything can change! I have been following this website for forecast since you sent me the address and it is changing several times a day. Lets hope that it will change to more positive forecast for you! :sm017:
Looking at that graph there is a lot of precipitation just before I go on the 4th. Its just will it fall as rain or snow?! lol
hahaha that is the best meteorological line I've ever heard :sm017:
Anyone that can compare weather maps to breasts is pretty special.
One thing the charts have been consistant with is that there will be percipitation when we're there... but when it drops hasn't been decided yet.
I'm crossing everything for the 22nd (21st seems but a dream).
JC, is it possible to get a linky to that precip graph please?
Munchio, posted this a few pages back (you wont see the exact graph I joined two graphs together):
Goto: http://www.arl.noaa.gov/ready/cmet.html?
type:
Latitude: 43.28
Longtitude: 20.8
click continue, then choose 0-180h GFS on the meteogram option, then type the password... This will give you a good percipitation forecast; to calculate how much snow will fall multiply the percipitation by 8-10.. if there's 2mm of rain it could fall as 2cm of snow.
Next visit: http://www.arl.noaa.gov/ready/animations.html
Scroll down to europe find the row named "MSLP, 1000-500mb Thickness, & Precipitation" and select the long range GFS gif option, this will give you an easy to follow percipitation forecast at a slightly lower altitude.
That should cover every angle :)

75cm!!!!
if this materialises - whoever comes on the 28th is in for the ultimate holiday....
(its also now saying 6cm's on the 21st and 6cm's a few days earlier.... watching these weather maps is like taking heroin... soaring highs followed by heart wrenching lows).
Youre right, any statistics published now aren't even slightly reliable, however they're a good indication of what could happen... and every chart for the last 2 weeks has decided that you're in for an awesome holiday.... Still things are looking up for the 21 club :)
there's an old joke about indians asking their profit about the forecoming winter... the profit says that the winter will be cold. So the indians prepared extra wood, fur and all the other things that may come in handy. Winter came and passed, they didn't need to use any of it. Next year they asked again. "This will be the coldest winter in the past 10 years", the profit said. So the tribe prepared everything again for extra cold winter, and it was mild again. Third year profit said "This will be the coldest winter in the past 100 years!" So the indians prepared tons of wood, killed hundreds of animals for fur and prepared everything, only to see another autumn-like winter. So when they came the forth year, the profit said "I need a day to think about it!' So he went down the mountain straight to the town's meteorology centre and said to the guys there: "Ok, guys, please help me, I will loose my influence in the tribe, I'm being wrong for 3 years now, what's winter gona be like this year?"
And the guys said:"This will be the coldest winter ever, the indians are preparing for it for the past 3 years!!!":glavaozid
All the maps I look at show a lot of precipitation while we are out there and a nice dusting on Thursday/Friday. If it stays with that it will be fine. Some snow arriving to freshen to slopes and enough falling all week to keep it pretty :)
The maps are still excellent today... They're saying 50cm's could fall during and before the first half of our holiday.
with the added bonus a nice dusting of snow on friday... 4cm's are what every forecaster seems to predict.... it's looking good for the 21 crew.
The reports I look at have broughtforward the snow another 12 hours so that would be great :D
Earlier on, snow-forcast.com where saying that there would be about 6cm between now on Monday.
It all disapeared now!! :-(
add soaring temperatures and we could be left with no snow until wednesday :(
bit gutting...
:( Where is my friend the snow?!
he's in my back garden at the moment... hopefully he'll follow em to Serbia ;)
Remember to pack it into your suitcase!!
http://www.snow-forecast.com are now saying 4cm on Friday!!!
Bah was hoping to wake up and see snow falling today :( I know I have no patience. Please can you all do the snow dance today. Those of you (like me) who are glued to this forum while at work don't be ashamed the whole office might see you, get them to join in!!!!
I will dance in front of my university!
latest forecast showing 8cm's today but much less next week....
